Before you buy 5 kg of Medjool dates Jumbo Choice, you naturally want to know more about the shelf life and storage of the caramel-sweet fruit. If you store the Medjool dates in the refrigerator, they will keep the longest. They will remain fresh for up to 18 months after harvest. If the dates have been stored for a longer period of time, fructose might have deposited on the outer layer of the fruit, a change recognisable by light spots on the skin. Don't worry though, this does not alter the quality of your fruits!
We recommend the consumption of dates during pregnancy only in moderation.
