Want to turn fresh wild berries into delicious jam? Here is our recipe for wild berry magic for all professional snackers! It tastes delicious on fresh bread or as a topping for pancakes, porridge and desserts. Enjoy your meal!

500 Wild berries (e.g. blueberries, blackberries, wild strawberries, cornelian cherries)
250 Gelling sugar 2:1
0.5 Lemon
1 Preserving jar
  • Step 1/8

Collect fresh wild berries. Only take the best and ripest fruit with you. After all, we want maximum flavor and as many nutrients as possible!

  • Step 2/8

Carefully rinse the berries and drain them.

  • Step 3/8

Prepare the preserving jars (quick tip: you can also reuse your empty nut butter jars for this!) by rinsing them with boiling water. This sterilizes the jars and ensures their shelf life.

  • Step 4/8

Place the drained berries in a small saucepan or pan. Add the preserving sugar and the juice of half a lemon and mix everything well.

  • Step 5/8

Heat the mixture and simmer over a medium heat for about 3-5 minutes. Stir regularly so that nothing burns. The jam should thicken after a while.

  • Step 6/8

Pour the hot jam into the clean, sealable preserving jars.

  • Step 7/8

Close the jam jars tightly (careful with the heat!) and turn them upside down to cool so that they are airtight.

  • Step 8/8

Your homemade wild berry jam is now ready to be enjoyed in the wild or at home.
