Is marzipan vegan?

Yes, marzipan is usually vegan. The marzipan paste usually consists of ground almonds and sugar. Since we only refine with cocoa powder, our marzipan potatoes are great for a vegan diet.

Can I make marzipan potatoes myself?

All you really need are almonds, sugar, a little rose water and bitter almond oil. If that's too much work for you, you can also simply use our marzipan without added sugar or marzipan paste with almonds. Then you just have to roll it out, shape it and powder it with cocoa powder for an even better taste.

Can I eat the marzipan potatoes during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

Unfortunately not. The production of marzipan often requires a little alcohol, such as rose water. Although our fine marzipan potatoes contain only very small amounts, you should still rather do without it during pregnancy. Alternatively, we recommend that you simply make your own marzipan potatoes from our Marzipan paste with almonds. This is free of alcohol and can therefore be enjoyed without hesitation.
