Divine! In this case, we don't just mean the taste of this fruit, but also its name. The kaki is the fruit of the kaki tree (Diospyros kaki). Dioypyros translates as "fruit of the gods" or also "food of the gods". We love the name "kaki - the fruit of the gods". With our 500 g value pack, you can snack on the sweet fruit all year round and don't have to wait for the cold months. Buy dried kaki now and snack divinely!

Kaki, Sharon, persimmon: what is the difference?

Kaki, Sharon and persimmon look confusingly similar. This leads to the assumption that they are the same fruit. Let's clear this up! All three varieties belong to the same species: the Sharon fruit, just like the persimmon, is a cultivated form of the kaki. It contains no seeds and can be eaten when hard. This makes it more suitable for the trade, because very soft fruits are difficult to store when ripe. The taste of the Sharon fruit is reminiscent of honeydew melon and peach. The kaki is more reddish in colour, the Sharon fruit is more orange-yellow and the persimmon is yellowish. You can easily tell the difference between the fruits from this. The fruits also differ in size: the persimmon is somewhat more elongated and, like the Sharon, smaller than the kaki.

Healthy is above all a balanced diet that meets the needs. We do not add any sugar to our dried fruits, because they are naturally sweet enough. With 9.9 g of dietary fiber per 100 g, the dried persimmons also have a high fiber content. All information about the ingredients and nutritional values can be found as usual in the product specification next to or below the product text in our online store.
We source our persimmons from Iran.
When you're not snacking on them plain or adding them to your muesli or porridge, you can add them to your cake or muffins, or show them off in a fruit salad. You can also conjure up a smoothie bowl or round off couscous dishes with it.
Please keep your fruit cool and dry and protect it from direct light (and hungry flatmates!).
Our dried persimmons naturally contain sugar and provide a sugar content of 62g per 100g. However, since the fruits are naturally sweet enough, we have not added any additional sugar.
From our side, there is nothing against the consumption of dried persimmons during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, it is best to talk to your doctor about it again.
